Children's Audio Books
We've done some long drives as a family. How does a large family stay sane in the car? Audiobooks! Get a good audiobook that everyone will love, and suddenly everyone is quiet! We don't ever go on a trip in the car without a good audiobook.
Also, we have had "quiet time" in the middle of our day ever since our eldest outgrew naps. The house gets quiet after we've cleaned up from lunch, and everyone either reads or listens to an audiobook. This is another way of creating some peace amid busy daily life.

The Focus on the Family Radio Theater productions are superb. The production quality is amazing. It's sort of like listening to a movie. There is a very talented full cast and music. This is how our children have gotten to know many classics, including The Secret Garden.

This is such a sweet story that all ages in our family loved. Our older children have listened to this one again and again.
Winnie the Pooh (Dramatised)
I definitely did not understand Winnie the Pooh until I heard these very talented British actors narrate it. It's so funny! This honestly gets me really laughing out loud. Make sure to get this version with Judi Dench and other British characters narrating. It's the best!
The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind: Young Readers Edition
This is a beautiful, inspiring true story. It goes into a very real description of famine in Africa about 15 years ago, but also tells the story of a young boy who overcomes huge obstacles to better his community and get an education.

Glory Stories! Holy Heroes produces these dramatized stories of the lives of saints. They are wonderfully done, and we have all enjoyed them and learned so much!
